TAXI PETITION TO PERMIT STOPPING TO PICK-UP AND SET-DOWN OF PASSENGERS

To the Honourable, the Speakers and Members of the Parliament of New South Wales.

We, the undersigned citizens of New South Wales, bring to the attention of, and humbly request the Parliament of NSW and the Minister for Transport to note and to take such Legislative action as may amend the Road Rules to permit Taxis to stop for the express purpose of picking-up or setting-down of passengers within “No Stopping” Zones and “Bus Zones” where and when it is safe to do so, but not for the purpose of ranking or awaiting passengers.
